Father, but We Are Yours
God’s people had a way of turning back and forth to and away from Him. They’d experienced a lot of judgement for their actions and many wars and attacks. Eventually to them it felt like God was done. He was done pulling them out of their sin only for them to turn back to idols and false gods. But they called out to God and used his mercy and goodness to plead for Him to come down and show himself. While judgement and chastisement isn’t fun, it’s necessary for us to turn back to God and do what he has called us to do instead of what our flesh desires. Ask yourself, do really want God to correct me? Am I actually doing what God wants me to do so that He wants to correct me? We never should hope God deserts us. But we know that if we take a step towards Him, he will meet us. Because, We Are His!
