Paul wrote to the church of Colossae for them to be Comforted, knit together in love, have full assurance of understanding and acknowledge these things allowed for the mysteries of the spirit to be revealed. He was warning them about false doctrine and empty wisdom. Some of these same problems we have today in the church. If we aren’t careful, we can be lead astray. So we must be unified, studied, and prepared to discern using the Word of God! With Gods Word we can know with full assurance, the comfort Jesus brings. We can stand firm in all instances. And we can know Jesus is the head of all things, for by Him, all things were created for His Glory.
